Buenas días familia!
This week was INCREDIBLE!!!
Seriously, I love being a missionary so much. There are no words to
describe it! I am just more and more grateful every day for the
opportunity that I have to do this.
First off,
on Monday, one of my favorite mission moments happened! So, we went to
try and see L, but we couldn´t find her, and it was late and we
were in a kind of dangerous part, so we went to wait for a colectivo on
El Boldo, which is the most inclined hill of our sector (and that´s
saying something!!) So we went and were waiting, and Sergio, the less
active that we´re working with him and his family, passes, and his
colectivo just breaks down right in front of us! So we go to try and
help out and we talked to him and tried to stop other colectivos so that
he could get help from someone who knew what they were doing, but
nothing was working. So, we asked him if we could say a prayer with him.
I said the prayer and honestly, it was one of the first times I really
felt like I was praying with my whole soul in front of other people! The
spirit was so strong. We ended the prayer, and I just knew his car was
going to start. He tried to start it, and... nothing. He tried again,
and... nothing. He had lost almost all hope, but we just knew it was
going to start. He started to just go down the hill to leave the car in a
place that was out of the way, and as he was going down, his car
started!!! Hermana Sanford and I were literally jumping up and down we
were so happy - haha. It was such a cool miracle!!! He recognized it too,
he told his whole family about it and everything about the prayer
miracle and his car is still working to this day! :) It was so awesome.
Pray for that family, they need a lot of help!
I
don´t really have too much time, but also, B accepted a baptismal
date! :) She´s doing great, she is visiting her mom right now but she
is for sure getting baptized in June. She is so awesome!! A less active
we´re working with, Ana, that has been coming to church recently also
decided that she wants to serve a mission :) It´s so cool!!! Her friend
kept inviting her until she came to church, and it brought to pass a
change in her heart, and she now wants to share that with everyone
around her. We´re helping her get ready to go!
We found a less active
who has an incomplete family, and she is totally ready to come back to
church and we´re teaching her kids too! Seriously, there are so many
people prepared here in Chorrillos.
I am so grateful for my companion as
well!! She is so great, and really just what I needed. Huge answer to
prayers!
I am so glad to know that God knows me and each one of us and
that he is going to make sure that we achieve our purpose: have joy. We
saw lots of other miracles as well, members from other wards driving us
home when we´re far away, awesome contacts, etc. It´s just such a huge
blessing to be in the mission and see so clearly God´s hand in our
lives!
A lot of funny things happened this week
too, the people here are just so great. I´ll have to tell you more
another time, because seriously the time is just flying away! I swear
that there is less time every week haha. The days are passing by faster
and faster, but I am still learning more and more. I am so grateful for
the Holy Ghost and all that I learn and for where it leads me. I love
the mission! It honestly is the best decision of my life. I am so
grateful for the examples I had growing up and all the little seeds and
care that I received from those around me to help me to reach this
point, and for the night after a YW activity that I decided in my heart
that I was going to serve.
I love you all so much, and I hope you have a
great week!!! :)
Love, Hermana Hansen
